WIRE LOGIC

Since first encountering a tangle of public utility wires in Bangkok in 2006, I have thought about how these configurations might be representing the information and voices they carry or some larger idea. I finally began drawing the various wire configurations while in Hanoi in 2013. I chose graphite as the medium for the drawing since it is a conductive material and iridescent metallic paint and metal bits on various surfaces on the facing diagram to relate to ideas of preciousness as well as "transmission."  This work is ongoing with several new wire/diagram pieces in-process in the studio.
